Yet, it would be premature to pass judgment on the car’s visual allure, for this prototype is an amalgamation of provisional and final components. Take, for instance, those deceptive dual exhaust tips protruding from the body; they are but a ruse, concealing the authentic single tip tucked away in the center, discreetly hidden behind a mesh veil. A glimpse at the rear reveals the conspicuous high-voltage sticker once more, adorning the space where a colossal diffuser reigns supreme, flanked by elegant vertical air curtains. The quad taillights, an enigmatic feature, leave us pondering whether they are a final design choice or merely borrowed temporarily from the SF90.

Curiously absent from this mid-engined beast is a rear window, a feature whose practicality holds little relevance in the realm of hypercars. The third brake light takes its place beneath the attention-seeking wing, while nearby, an appendage peeks out from the body. Could it be a camera? If so, we can only hope for a more harmonious integration into the final production model, as its current form appears somewhat ungainly.

Befitting a high-performance marvel of this caliber, the replacement for the LaFerrari embraces the dramatic allure of butterfly doors, as evidenced by the distinctive cutouts in its roof. The question of what lies behind the driver’s seat lingers in the air, as hybridization often leads to the adoption of a lower-displacement combustion engine. Consequently, we may witness a departure from the V12 powerplant that enthralled enthusiasts in the LaFerrari, making way for a V8 or, perhaps, even a V6 engine.

Drawing inspiration from the six-cylinder powerhouse derived from the 296 GTB/GT3, which captivated audiences in the 499P Le Mans endurance race car, it is not unfathomable that Maranello’s latest masterpiece may opt for half the cylinder count.
