Fortunately, Aston Martin has now unveiled the Volante, which boasts unlimited headroom and is undeniably gorgeous. It’s a rare model, with only 199 units set to be produced, compared to the fixed-roof variant’s 300 copies.
One would be hard-pressed to find a bad angle on this beauty. While opinions on aesthetics can vary, there’s no denying that it’s the most powerful road-going Aston Martin ever made. The uprated 5.2-liter V12 engine delivers an impressive 770 PS, or 759 horsepower, earning the model its name. The twin-turbocharged engine generates a whopping 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque, which kicks in from a mere 1,800 rpm for effortless cruising.
Despite being sold out, Aston Martin went to the trouble of creating a configurator with a wide range of exterior and interior colors to choose from, as well as various options, including chrome or black badges and a carbon fiber package. Additionally, buyers can opt for a four-piece leather luggage set.
Both the coupe and convertible ride on bespoke 21-inch wheels with an intricate multi-spoke design borrowed from the Valkyrie and the one-off Victor. The wheels are available in satin silver or satin black, with the latter also offered with a diamond-turned finish. The cars are equipped with Pirelli P Zero tires, measuring 265/35 R21 at the front and 305/30 R21 at the rear.
The DBS 770 Ultimate Volante gets fancy sill plates with the iconic wings, a special “770 Ultimate” logo, and a limited-edition numbering system to highlight its exclusivity. The Q by Aston Martin division can customize the carbon fiber, apply woven leather seat inserts, and create body graphics as part of a wider range of personalization options.
