Is the new Mini Countryman about to make its debut? That remains to be seen, but a new set of spy photos suggests that it is true. Since the last time we saw the small crossover, there have been some significant changes.
First of all, the new camo wrap resembles the yellow-green design of the Mini Aceman prototypes. Previous Countryman sightings featured white test vehicles, but the Mini’s decision to go yellow may be an attempt to conceal its internal combustion engine. Although it might look good at first glance, the exhaust finishers at the base of the rear fascia can’t be missed. A faint white vapor plume that can be seen in the chilly air indicates that they are not fake either.
Seeing production-spec taillights through the wrap higher up may be hindered by that. Moving toward the front, production headlights with daytime LED strips are also easy to see, as are the distinctive LED patterns. This time, we don’t get a look inside, but earlier spy shots showed a familiar-looking Mini greenhouse with a large oval display in the dash.
Heavier covers actually disguise subtleties on the lower belt, however don’t anticipate that things should remain stowed away significantly longer.
