In its 19th year, the Green Car Awards™ recognized models showcasing efficiency and environmental achievement, with plug-in hybrids dominating the 2024 awards. The Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, known for its electric efficiency, crossover utility, and Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system, stood out with a 38-mile all-electric range and a total driving range of 420 miles, as per EPA estimates. The S-AWC system, tailored for the unique twin electric motor setup, enhances performance and traction, especially in challenging weather conditions.
